The legendary musician is to be awarded the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award – a coveted gong which aims to recognise artists whose "humanitarian contributions have positively enhanced the social fabric of Canada".
Melanie Berry - President & CEO of CARAS/The JUNO Awards & MusiCounts – said of the honour, “We are thrilled to salute Neil Young’s committed and compassionate legacy. As a driving force behind one of music’s most successful fund-raising events, Farm Aid, and a key participant in Live 8 right here at home, plus many other deserving causes and programs, his tenacity and spirit is highly regarded among his peers and serves as an inspiration to all of us”.
Neil will be collecting his award during the ceremony on March 27th.
Efsanevi müzisyen "Kanada'nın sosyal dokusunda olumlu iyileştirmelere yol açan insani katkılarından dolayı" verilen Allan Waters İnsani Yardımseverlik Ödülüne layık görüldü.
Neil 27 Mart tarihinde düzenlenen törende ödülünü alacak.
